GrowFL and FloridaMakes Launch New Manufacturers Business Growth Initiative for Second-Stage Companies

A new Manufacturers Business Growth Program aims to assist CEOs, presidents and owners of manufacturing, biotechnology, research & development and engineering businesses in growing their company’s top-line revenue.  The program, designed for companies with between 6 and 150 employees and annual revenues from $750,000 to $100 million, is offered through a partnership between FloridaMakes, part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP), and GrowFL, an economic development organization that assists second-stage Florida companies.

“The Manufacturers Business Growth Program offers valuable resources for companies that are at a critical juncture and are ready for the next phase of growth,” said Kevin Carr, FloridaMakes CEO.  “GrowFL’s proven programs will help Florida manufacturers and manufacturing-related industries drive business improvement and revenue growth.”

GrowFL’s signature programs include Strategic Research for marketing and sales expansion, peer learning CEO Roundtables and a curriculum to support leadership development.  More information and costs for each program are available through the GrowFL and FloridaMakes web sites; second-stage companies may qualify for some state grant funding to offset the costs.

“This program will enable Florida’s second-stage companies to grow and prosper,” said Dr. Tom O’Neal, GrowFL Executive Director. “The services that FloridaMakes provides, coupled with the resources GrowFL offers, present an unmatched set of resources from which second-stage businesses will benefit.”
