Lee County Engineering Firm Selected to Participate in State’s “GrowFL” Economic Gardening Institute
BONITA SPRINGS , Fla. (July 12, 2011) – Waldrop Engineering P.A. – a Bonita Springs-based multi-disciplinary development consulting firm – has been selected to receive free technical assistance through the state-funded GrowFL program.
Part of the Florida Economic Gardening Institute, GrowFL was created in 2009 by the Florida Legislature and is based at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, according to Dr. Tom O’Neal, executive director of the Florida Economic Gardening Institute.
“Waldrop Engineering was selected not only because of its strong leadership, but the many services it is able to provide for its clients,” said Dr. O’Neal, who also is associate vice president for the University of Central Florida’s Office of Research and Commercialization.
Founder and company President Ronald D. Waldrop said Waldrop Engineering is a full-service development consulting firm that specializes in civil engineering, landscape architecture and planning. The 11-year-old company has 13 employees who work from offices in Bonita Springs and Tampa.
The free assistance provided by GrowFL will support Waldrop Engineering through a number of services, including access to market research and technology, strategy analysis, CEO roundtables and forums, database research and website optimization.
“This affiliation gives us an opportunity to improve the visibility of our services and enhance our marketing strategies, while improving our ability to target new opportunities for growth,” Waldrop said.
